Overview
The Lusail Stadium in Qatar was the main venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It seats around 80,000 spectators and has become one of the best-known landmarks in Lusail City. Its golden shape was inspired by Arabic lanterns and traditional bowls, linking the design to local culture. The stadium also focused on sustainability, earning a five-star GSAS rating.
For the outer façade, builders installed LCP Lycorseam® Aluminium panels. These are lightweight but strong, helping the stadium handle desert heat and high winds. They also provide shade and give the structure a modern, smooth look while keeping installation practical on such a large build.
